- We are looking for a high-performing Assistant Sales Manager to help us meet our customer acquisition and revenue growth targets by keeping our company competitive and innovative. You will be responsible for maximizing our sales team potential, crafting sales plans, and justifying plans to upper management. This position will report to the Sales Manager.
- Design and implement a strategic business plan that expands the company’s customer base, increases close rates and revenue, and build onto the customer-focused reputation of the company.
- Work with Department Manager and Sales Manager to set aggressive sales goals and lead a team of professional sales consultants to achieve those goals.
- Own development and performance of sales staff including goal setting, coaching and performance monitoring, including progressive discipline and possible termination.
- Regularly present sales, revenue and expenses reports and realistic forecasts to the leadership team.
- Build and promote strong, long-lasting customer relationships by supporting Sales Consultants on projects as needed.
- Identify emerging markets and market shifts while being fully aware of new products and competition status.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- 4-year degree in sales, business management or related field preferred. Equivalent work experience considered.
- At least 2 years’ relevant work experience with a history of progressive management and sales success is required.
- Experience in residential construction or remodeling is preferred but not required.
- Valid Wisconsin Driver’s License is required with a good driving record.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and Oracle’s NetSuite preferred.
- The majority of the working conditions and physical demands are normal for an office or home environment. A small percentage of the physical environment could require the employee to conduct business both inside and outside in heat/cold, wet/humid, dry/arid conditions while visiting job sites.
- The work schedule is typically Monday - Friday 7:30am to 4:30pm.
- 10% travel required in and around Dane County. The remaining 90% is at our Waunakee office.
